A fragment
Alright. I’m only posting this here cuz 1. someone on Twitter has been badgering me that I should update and 2. I’m probably never going to do anything more with it so that way at least it doesn’t disappear forever like so many other things that never get past 500 words. It started out as a 100words.com thing (so you’ll get to see that at the end of the month) which I thought could be expanded on. It’s also inspired by… well… stuff my therapist has said. But it is of course not autobiographical. *lol* More »
Paris again – ha!
25th trip since I started this blog. Which means nothing at all. *lol* But this was my first trip in many years with Charlotte, which does mean something as she used to be my Paris partner in crime back in the late 90es. It was with her that I went 1998, for the World Cup final, which was one of the most amazing experiences ever (the French won. They were very happy). More »
So here’s the deal [an update]
There is none. Haha! *cough* Ahem, anyway, I thought it was time to jot down some random thoughts again. I read a column by my beloved Max Goldt the other day where he basically just makes lots of random little unconnected points. Of course he’s acerbic and hilarious while doing it, while I will be dull and self-indulgent. But hey, he gets paid for it and I get charged (at least for the webspace). More »
I’ve been to Normandy! On a bike!
And I shall blog about it for my trip collection. 😛 More »
Paris report – May 2011
Right right, time for a Paris report. Because Paris is awesome and my archives must be complete. Pics be here. More »
Oh dear! I still have opinions
I am neglecting this thing terribly, I know. I do wish I had more to talk about. Remember when I used to have a category “Opinionated” on my old MovableType blog? More »
The Venice entry
Right. Usually I do blag entries about my trips and it shall be the same here. Unfortunately I forgot to make a note of all the things we did, and I can’t reconstruct it all with my photos (which are here) cuz often you weren’t allowed to take pics inside churches and museums. So I’ll try to remember the main things, and will give a “general impression”. Not that anyone cares. *lol* More »
Castro Death Guessing Game – redux?
Who would’ve thought four years ago that Castro would still be around now? We certainly didn’t on this Blag, because we played the Castro Death Guessing Game and we all got it way wrong. Even the eventual winner stagiaire guessed over two years ago. Also, the people we thought might die before him are all still alive. We suck at predicting Death. Wonder if I should do something like that again? But with whom? Using Castro again seems like cheating. Maybe Thatcher?
[edit] The commenters have decided it is to be Castro again! *lol*
Rule recap for those who can’t be bothered reading the original:
1. give a date when you think he will die.
2. list someone else you think will die before him.
Whoever’s closest in 1. wins. 2. is just for fun (or extra morbidity).
The winner receives… something I haven’t decided on yet. *lol*
Loud, louder, ARE YOU NUTS!?
Aah, it has been a while! It’s cuz I’m so busy having funnn!!! *lol* No, I really am tho. Today I got my first sunburn of the year – only a very light one, since I am being reasonable (I know I know, truly reasonable would be no sunburn at all, but where’s the fun in that!?). Yesterday I read two Sookie Stackhouse books in a day (and did little else), and now I have read them all except the short stories, and they’re on their way to me, hehe. And the next one in the series, which is released on May 3rd, has been preordered. I considered first class delivery, but then decided (again!) to be reasonable and went with free super saver. I can wait an extra few days I’m sure.
I really don’t have much to say at all, except life is good, still. Which is slightly baffling at times, but it would be stupid to complain. :yay
