10 years on…

SO! Today is officially my 10 year anniversary of immigrating to the UK! (first post) I was very excited to be back here. It’s kinda cute how excited I was. My view now is slightly less rose-tinted, tho I definitely do still love Brighton. Brighton is wonderful.
And I’ll leave it at that. 😀
Oh god does this make me feel old!
I miss that old flat and the wonderful views. I miss the next flat and the dodgy-not-long-enough-smarties shower curtain too. I don’t miss anything about the current cluttered colourful mess though. Was all of that just rose tinted glasses?
I received a message today from C-that-shall-not-be-named and he mentioned thinking about Walterton Road and being nostalgic for the times spent there.
Have we actually turned into old people without realising it yet?! Will you one day get pissed when you visit JarJar and find some kids wrestling above your head at 2am?! Will you shout at them in some strange foreign language and make them freeze on the spot before falling into heaps of laughter?!
*le sigh*
I’m not sure I like getting old. I didn’t think this was going to happen.
:)) Nostalgic squi. I liked both of those flats, but this one is the best. 😀 I’m surprised you liked the mini-flat, that was pretty cluttered too. So yeah, I think that’s rose-tinted glasses for sure lol.
I don’t feel old. I mean I do in certain ways (wrinkles! :(( ) but I definitely don’t feel old-and-boring-like-my-mother. I am still continually amazed that I’m now the age my mother was when I was 7, and I am nowhere near as boring as she was then, or is now.
And you’re only 30!!! (tho I also hated turning 30 I think 😕 ) Maybe you’ll feel better in a few years! 😀
