New WP theme!!!! (thanks and instructions)

I know I know, a good theme shouldn’t need instructions and this one doesn’t really, either, but just a few notes maybe. And a few acknowledgments. *hehe*

For this is a much stolen theme. Of course I didn’t code it myself, I found it on this spanish site (via Smashing Magazine via del.icio.us). Much of it was in Russian so my thanks to Lo for helping with translation. 😀

The main motivation for change was of course my desire for a wider sidebar in support of my current Twitter obsession and my final adoption of Flickr (I guess that makes me a laggard). This is of course in no small degree due to my lovely iGor 😡 who allows me to post to both sites quickly and painlessly from almost anywhere without even going online. 😀 Oh yeah and I probably got some “inspiration” from Caspar’s blog. :]

I cleaned up my sidebar a little by removing the archives – these can now be found on a separate page – which includes links to every single month since the beginning of time my blogging! Much better than having to go via an “Old Blog” link etc. 😀 Mhm and this idea I kinda stole from Jessamyn – but mine is far prettier of course! (and maybe sometime soon I’ll fix the very old archives to make them load faster.)

Theeen Katja complained that there was no timestamp on posts so I stole Michelle‘s idea of using the title tag to add timestamps on hover. So: to see the timestamp please hover over the date! Most of you won’t care anyway since you are – I hope – not as obsessive as Katja. :wh (I keed because I love!)

Oh and the link to the smileys is behind that smiley to the right of “Leave a Comment”. Couldn’t find an elegant way to include a text link. Cuz I suck at CSS. 😀 Plus while I was at it I’ve cleaned up my blogroll, since some sites were well outdated. Mhm.
