Hurrah!
Ok so I’m really quite tired and should probably go to bed soon, esp. as I may be off to London tomorrow to chase after that twat MJ. But I’ll do a short life update anyway.
So I’ve just come back from 5 hours of calltaking for Comic Relief (people still ask me “so what you doing?” even tho I explained it in this entry – even with a link to the Amex thing from last year. But no one ever listens to me anyway, I know). I took £886 in donations. All in all we made about £140,000. Pretty impressive. Our biggest single donation was £3000 – wow. It was good fun too. I was sat with Stuart (cute Scottish guy). He was stoned when it started, and later he got Alex to bring us cider. :))
Sylvie, our manager, was also there. Which was interesting. Becaauuuuse… a few days ago we learnt that someone from the team is leaving. Sooo I thought “hmmmm, I think I shall mention to Sylvie that I would be interested in that role” (you know I said that what I do for Sarah is mindnumbingly boring & repetitive – I do more general stuff now anyway but eventually I was gonna do more data quality = boring. anyway). So I was gonna do that tonight, what with her being all impressed I’m being charity-minded.
Then today there was a complaint from a customer whom I’d allegedly told someone would ring her back within 15mins and then it took hours. I’m not sure if I said it, I usually don’t say timeframes for that very reason (they’ll complain). I do know that I said we’d do it fast tho and then Eva couldn’t be bothered doing it so it took longer. So the sales people made a huuuuge fuss. I didn’t get a bollocking but it was still kinda eek cuz they have to apologize to the customer etc. So I thought “oops, maybe I’ll lay low for a while.” So decided not to ask just yet.
Theeeeen during one of our breaks Sylvie went “oh actually it’s good that I have you here…” and she asked me!!! 😀 It isn’t definite yet, she said sth like “I would definitely like to do that”, but it’s sounding good. 😀 And she said I was doing a good job. 🙂 We also talked a bit about other people in the team and turns out Sarah has admitted (“finally admitted” in the words of Sylvie) that she finds it “difficult to delegate”. :)) Oh but I did a job again for her this afternoon and God was it boring!!!! 😐
Aaaanyway hopefully it’ll all end well. 🙂 And I think that shall be the end of this entry. Not much else to say right now anyway and it’s time I… slowly… head for bed. Night!
“He was stoned when it started” LMFAO!
Congratulations on Sylvie asking you, hope you get to do it 🙂
Thanks 😀
Congrats.
You sound like it’s a good thing for ya.
Yeah! 😀
Oh, me loves new outfit. 😀
Thanks! 😀
But you won’t like the cookies problems. Seems even staying logged in to post doesn’t seem to work.
I’ll have to work on that when I get back from meeting Chris or sth.
Cookies work for me, but I can’t tell whether I’m logged in now. Will test it with this comment.
Just check the old theme code for the comment form and copy it into the new one.
Oh yeah, okay. Cookies work. And when I’m logged in it accepts the data of my account.
Right lemme test again after deleting cookies and clearing cache…
Yay works now 😀
Whee, how exciting. Always nice to be appreciated 🙂
