Look! Pretty things! – UPDATED

Hot new WordPress Theme! I’m in love. 😡 Clicking the small thumbnails top left will change the background. Some of them might look crappy if you have a big resolution. Simple – choose a different one (background. well, or resolution)! Yay. Most of the backgrounds came with the theme, and I’ve added a few. (the scary default one is a cat’s eye I believe). That is all for now. Nothing else to see, move along.

[edit] I’ve found an updated version of the theme. The page should now be much faster on first load (tho switching backgrounds will be a bit slower as they no longer preload). And the thumbnails make more sense. And I’ve added two more backgrounds. This thing rocks. *hehe*

Shilpa Shetty for the win!

OK I generally don’t watch Celebrity (or any other) Big Brother but was kinda drawn into it tonight (you know, Jermaine Jackson being on it, any MJ fan should follow it religiously, yada yada). So I’ve chosen my favourite. She’s very pretty, she’s nice, and I reckon she stands a chance. Tho I also liked the way Jermaine was completely unaffected by the whole “time for eviction” hysteria today. And Jackiey (wtf?) was even worse than I’d expected, even tho I’d been warned by the slore and by Vega. Thank God she’s gone? Well nah, don’t care really, since I don’t watch it. (after trawling Youtube for a bit… ok maybe Shilpa won’t win. she’s still cute tho)

What’s the deal with Raymi?

Raymi the Minx for those of you who are not familiar with her. She’s, like, an Internet celebrity and has been for years (a bit like Belle de Jour for instance). She keeps winning blog awards and stuff and many people think she has cult status.

I. do. not. get. her. I’ve tried numerous times (ignoring the horrendous mega-font-layout and erratic spelling), thinking I must be missing something, but I just cannot get into her. What is it?! What’s so special about her!? I mean she sounds like a nice enough girl, her blog is amusing at times, but awards? Cult? Hooowwww? Whyyyy? Hmph.

Yay! I cracked the javascript!

I managed to customize the buttons on the WordPress “new post” interface. I tried the other day and just didn’t understand it. It was really rather frustrating. I know I’m not the brightest cookie when it comes to programming languages, but this made absolutely no sense to me, and it was kinda scary to think I’d really become that stupid. So I guess figuring it out means I’ve not become quite that stupid, but rather that attention-deficity. Or a combination of both. 😐 More »

What I’ve been up to

*yada yada* Since I’ve been offline for a while I’ll give you a quick update on what I’ve been doing. It won’t take long, haha.

After finishing J‘s House boxset I actually did get round to cleaning the flat. I don’t think it’s been this clean since I first moved in. I even finally bought one of them high pressure aerosols to dust the PC. Unfortunately the dust is already creeping back in (the flat, not the PC. yet). Oh and also, my toilet leaks. Yay. I guess the plumber can look at that when he comes for the leaking sink. *lol*

So that was that. And then there’s the website. This took me longer than it should’ve – partly cuz I tried out a few things that I ended up not using (like a different gallery), and partly cuz I’m a bit dense. Now the new year is here and I have to… finally… no really… find a job. So I’ll be off to buy the Argus now.
