Ooooh the excitement!

I never thought I could still get excited about Michael Jackson, but here I am. Wheeeeeeee!!!!!! He’s gonna do a press conference / announcement at the O2 tomorrow and guess who’s taken half a day off work to be there? :))

This is really quite intriguing to me. I remember last time he was here I didn’t even bother to go up to London, and at no point did I regret that decision. In my attempts to figure out why this time it’s different all I can offer is this: I have been bored out of my friggin’ mind! Also been pretty meh about most, um, social events. And people. And work. And life. So I kinda need the thrill. If this seems like regression then at this point I don’t actually think it’s all that negative.

It will be interesting to see how I feel about it this time tomorrow. If I’ll get pulled in by the hype and the frenzy (my guess: fuck yes I will, and I can’t wait). My crackwhore has written an entry about it too. My take is kinda different to hers and yet… kind of coming from the same angle. I barely even listen to his music anymore these days. Even now as I am hyped up about tomorrow I am listening to Vivaldi. I don’t care much what he does, I don’t follow the rumours, I don’t read the boards, and yet, here I am being all squeeeeee!! Hysteria is a great thing, yes it is!

Ah but that’s not all that is exciting about my life! I have also booked a flight to Athens 19th-22nd of March! A much deserved break after over 2 months of being stuck in Brighton. I have never been to Athens before, despite my girls Aspa and Elena bugging me repeatedly that I should go visit them. Well now I am, and they are both very excited, and so am I!!! 😀

This weekend I’m off to Southampton to see Kate – less exotic, but no less exciting. They have an Ikea now! Oh, and my mum’s coming to visit me over Easter, and we’re planning to rent a car and drive westward… I think I’m supposed to work out an itinerary, will do soon. Like, next week or sth. Oh, and in May we’ll do Paris again. And in autumn, NYC. YAY!
