Week-ends are great!

You can be lazy and stuff, I love doing that! I usually have plans tho and mostly never go through with them. My plans for this week-end included doing a whole Lotta laundry, and putting up the glass shelf in the bathroom. Well, I still have a day left.

Do you remember the first album you bought with your own money? Cuz I sure as hell don’t. I had a number of tapes as a kid (a lot of them embarrassing, like Modern Talking), and I assume they weren’t all presents so some of them I must have bought with my pocket money, but I couldn’t tell you which. The first one I clearly remember buying myself was Dangerous. And I know Off The Wall was a present from my grandparents, but I couldn’t tell you how I got the other MJ albums.

The first album I owned was an Abba Greatest Hits. This was a Christmas present from my parents when I was six. I remember this cuz we were on holiday in Austria for Christmas and listened to the tape on our way back, with me crying like a baby the whole time. I always cried on our way back from holidays. I think I’ve said this on here before. I wonder when I stopped doing that. Tho I sometimes do that again these days, esp. after visiting friends. Which is most of my trips. *lol*

[…] Well hello, it is now Sunday night and I didn’t do either of the above (laundry or bathroom shelf). I did however – as you can see – tweak a new theme for this here blog, which I finally upgraded to WP 2.7 on Friday. I also uploaded a bunch of old photos to Flickr, cuz I wanna get rid of that shitty Coppermine gallery. And I’ve merged the Norway and Paris pages into a single Trips page, with the full intent of adding links to the rest of my trips too. Some day.

Oh and in case you’d missed it, I played around with make up: green, blue, rainbow.

And for those of you who don’t have me on Facebook and may have missed this, I’ve found a taker for Karim, my horse, he’s now safely in the hands of Dani, one of my oldest horse friends. 🙂 Oh, and riding school owners turned up on Facebook a while back and added us all (us girls who used to go there), which is… weird, and has potential for drama, but I don’t think there will be any. I am also now in a relationship with Kal, which Monica finds very childish and stupid, but I find very amusing.

And now it is time for bed! 😀

First two albums I bought were Alanis Morissette, Jagged Little Pill and Meat Loaf, Welcome to the Neighbourhood. I was going to Belgium on a school trip and we stopped at a service station. I’d borrowed my sisters CD walkman thing but only had some of her compilations to listen to. I knew I liked Meat Loaf and I had an inkling I liked Alanis from seeing her on MTV. Turns out it was a wise purchase as I now consider it the best album of all time and have listened to it countless thousands of times! (in fact I’m glad I discovered it years before last.fm was even thought of as it’d be quite embarrassing just how many listens it would have clocked up – I literally listened to it all day, every day, for about three years).

Jagged little pill, really? Wow. You’re so young. 😛
I used to love that album too, until I lived with someone during my 1st year at uni who played it constantly.. Took me a few years before I could listen to it again. :))

😕 @ Jar, they work for me. Is it an Opera thing? (can you try in IE?)

Thx slore. 😛

You need link to comments again too!

Oh, the number was meant to go to the comments. But there was no anchor on the page. Have added now so will work.
Will have to investigate why the feeds don’t work in Opera. Do you have Javascript disabled maybe?

How can you not see a comment thing? In the top right of each entry (on the main page, not individual entry page) there’s a little paper with a number on it!?

Lol yeah I dunno if WP has got stricter, will have to check. Hm & I thought I’d just approved it but apparently didn’t work. Will have to wait til I get home then.
As long as I know what you said… 😛
