Tattoo talk

All hail to the great Katja ^:)^ who has given me the most amazing idea for my next (inevitable?) tattoo.

“I HURT”

Allow me to explain the various levels of cool:
1. I, the tattoo, did hurt when my bearer got me (anthropomorphization of tattoo :x, turning me, the bearer, into nothing but a canvas)
2. I, the bearer, hurt, for I am a complex & tortured being (the emo version – shut it Sara!)
3. Semi-obscure but very cool REM-reference – Everybody Hurts, therefore I Hurt.
4. Super-obscure grammar reference because “I hurt” can be past or present tense and thus interpreted differently (see above).

Alternate version: I HURTED, which gives additional coolness of lolspeak, but removes the past/present ambiguity. Gets rid of the emoness pathos of “I suffer” but… well it’s lolspeak. I daresay that’s a fad even in my world. :))

Ja but “I Hurt” is a definite contender for the next tattoo. Tho at the moment I am still entranced by my first one. =P~ Which shall keep me happy for a while. 😀 Goodnight! 🙂

Um. That’s kind of lame.

I belive that Katja is great :p but it’s bad luck to have such a tattoo and it sends a negative message about you, like as you’d constantly say “I’m not ok”, “I feel bad”.

:)) I know, it’s a bit too emo. But I just luuurve the “speaking tattoo” side of it. Alternatively I could get “I am bold” in a bold font. 😀 :))

I want to state that I am against tattooing and that my idea was not meant as a suggestion for a new tattoo. But if you don’t want to be emo, you could still have “I will be there” (MJ, personification of tattoo…).

I like the “I am bold” idea but yeah the “hurt” is kind of “wah wah”. Like I get the funny side of it but I don’t think anyone else would and would just think you were being, you know, “misunderstood”.

Aye.

Or you could get “I mean nothing” as a double meaning one. Like the tat itself means nothing so people should stop bloody asking you (prepare yourself for that one btw, it’ll happen a lot) but could also be “wah I am meaningless as a human”. Aye.

*lol* No you’re not.

Indeed. I mean, therefore I am. Or something.
