Weekly Roundup
So this is my first attempt at these posts. Came up with some generic questions, may still change them depending on how it goes.
What did I do? I was in Paris when the week started. I went to London on Friday to see The Last of the Haussmans at the National Theatre with Sabine (this was ok, not that great) and Another London photo exhib at Tate (also ok). Apart from that I honestly didn’t do very much at all, tho I’ve started working on my rainbow tattoo, and am trying to complete a month of 100words again. Oh! I did some half-hearted jobhunting on Wednesday, applied for one police job, and then gave up cuz it was too depressing. And I washed my curtains and my sofa covers. That’s actually quite an achievement. I even ironed the sofa covers!
What did I think? I had a few downer days which started in Paris and dragged on until Thursday I think. May just have been a form of PMS. I (re-)read about half of Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo on Wednesday, which made me feel a bit anxious and weird. Felt better the 2nd half of the week, tho still kinda directionless and scared of the future.
What’s next? Fuck knows. Well, Antje and her boyfriend are staying for a night next week. I need to finish my letter to Alessandra (penpal from Brazil) and (hopefully) apply for two more jobs I’ve bookmarked.
Story of the week: When applying for that one job, I got one of the previous job dates wrong, all the while writing about my great attention to detail in the “further info” bit. *lol* This was somewhat embarrassing, but the cute person who received the application (who emailed me about it within about half an hour!!!) said she’d changed it.
Picture(s) of the week: very rough rainbow tattoo idea and rainbow eye make up (also, if you click “next” on the Tumblr you can see some of the stuff I made for Mon’s son).
“Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo” is maybe the only book I’ve read that made me really depressed (or even depressive). That’s why I’d recommend not reading this on “downer days”. (Or, in fact, as for me, never reading it again anyway. :D)
You should read Prozac Nation. *lol*
Will I need Prozac after doing so?
Quite possibly, if you’re anything like me.
