I have oranges
Why are they called that? Carrots are also orange but they are not called “oranges”. And surely we had carrots before we had oranges? And why are bananas not called yellows? Or bendys? I like descriptive words.
Of course I had to look up where the word banana comes from: 1597, borrowed by Sp. or Port. from a W. African word, possibly Wolof banana.
As I was saying to my MAP the other day, or just last night in fact, the Internet is a truly amazing thing, with all the info and fun and… stuff it contains. We are blessed. *lol*
My MAP is also the reason I have not yet switched to my next layout, which is the cutest thing ever, and I can’t wait to use it. 😡 But my MAP likes the vegetables, so they will stay for a little while longer. Then… cutest layout ever.
As you can tell I don’t have an awful lot to say. I was really NYC-obsessed again earlier and was gonna write about the beauty that is NYC, but I’ve calmed down again now, and I’d only be repeating myself anyway. Tho NYC is really beautiful, and I am glad it exists, and excited I am going to see it again in considerably less than a month. 😀
But first I am going to see Scotland – which I haven’t since I last went to see the Twat there, which was over 3 years ago I believe. Wow. So yeah. I am visiting my slunt, useless bag of flesh that she is, and I think we’re going to Stirling (well she has suggested, and I think is a fun idea), and we’re going to Edinburgh to see a biatch and stalk Simon, and of course I will finally be reunited with my Suki again.
And with all this updating I completely forgot to eat my orange. 😐
