Random thoughts written while listening to nice tracks on MefiMusic and other stuff

New York is astonishingly beautiful. Like, really breathtakingly amazing. That’s why I watch CSI:NY (well, and also cuz Gary Sinise is kinda hot). Those aerial shots of Manhattan are like porn. Ok, maybe that’s not the right analogy. Let’s say they’re the visual equivalent of listening to Mozart’s Symphony No.25. Just not quite so long. Unfortunately.

However my mum and I have finally decided on a date for our NYC trip. Finally!!! We’ve even settled on which flights to take and all! Hip Hip Hooray!!! So we’re going Sept. 6-11. Yep, my second 9/11 in New York – let us see if anything out of the ordinary happens this time round. Means I’ll also be spending my birthday in NYC again, and my mum will take me out. 🙂 I must also get her to go on one of those helicopter tours of Manhattan with me. For a longer version of visual Mozart you know. =P~

Damn, have I already run out of things to say? Have I Got News for You is on in 15mins, I may watch that. If I can be bothered to put up with the really shitty reception. Missed most of it last night cuz I was chatting to Mon. Oh yeah, I could tell you about how my househunting is going. So far I’ve had a few offers of the kind “I have a room – it’s not quite what you’re looking for but you might be interested anyway…” – well no, if it’s not what I’m looking for then I likely won’t be. The drawbacks are usually either “really small room” or “really far out”. Some interesting stuff tho – one house with a swimming pool – how cool!? But near Hove Park – um, no thanks. People generally seem to like my ad tho.

I’ve also approached one girl who’s basically trying to “collect” other people and then look for a house together. Sounds like a good plan. Hopefully I’ll meet her (and 2 others) early next week. I got a call from a girl with a similar idea today & we were gonna meet too, but then she changed her mind – she doesn’t like the areas I’m after. Oh well, fine then. I don’t need her. And I’m in no rush whatsoever. At the end of the day – if I don’t find anything I like I can easily stay put. I do love my little flat after all. Oh and I found out when paying my rent the other day that they’re still not sold. Heh.

Time seems to pass really fast these days. Last week-end seems like only two days ago or something. I’m almost done with my translations too – only some finishing touches and proofreading left to do now. Am hoping to get it in by Monday and then I’ll be free to do all that… other stuff I’ve been planning to do. Like being creative and making videos and reading and enjoying the sun and whatnot else. Oh God I just noticed there’s a double bill of Grey’s Anatomy starting in 20mins… *sigh* Must. Go. To. Sleep.

Actually I must not, for it is the week-end! I slept til 10 today! Beats the 7.30es from last week-end doesn’t it? Ok well I shall be off to watch TV now or something. Oh but before I go, and referring back to the entry title, may I yet again take this opportunity to plug the awesomeness that is Mefi Music. My playlist has some new tracks too. Did I mention I love music?

Right. Turns out Grey’s Anatomy is a repeat. Bed it is then. Goodnight!
