OMFG I love NYC!!!!!!
Sun, May 22 2005 @ 03:30   //   Category: Life & Me   //   7 comments

Um yeah. That's hardly news of course but OMG!!!!! Ok I feel a bit silly now. But OMG!!!! I really really really love this place sooooo much!!!!!! I was a bit worried that it wouldn't be able to live up to my expectations cuz my 9/11 experience was something so extraordinary, and that "everyday life" New Yorkers would disappoint me... but they didn't. I love them. I am SOOOOO FRIGGIN' HAPPY!!!! I wanna stay I wanna make it mine I wanna embrace it I wanna be part of it I wanna be it!!!

Hmmm ok. *deep breath* Ja so. I have 4hrs (reusable) credit and am not tired so might as well tell you more. Like, stuff that actually makes sense instead of my hysterical crap. I am at easyinternet on 42nd street btw so yes, it's still there. *hehe* It's kinda empty. Last time I was here it was a lot fuller. I am guessing this is due to the fact that
1. people increasingly have their own PCs/connection and
2. around 9/11 there were a lot of stranded tourists.

Anyway. I am rambling again. d is in bed btw. He gave up before me - which in a way is understandable since he did not get any sleep at all last night, but it also kinda surprises me cuz I was convinced I'd collapse around midnight UK time at the latest (that was 3hrs ago). I rock. 8-}

Hehe I just noticed they still have Christmas decorations up here. How amusing. Anyway. Did I mention we've had great weather so far? Except for the thunderstorm earlier - before that it was very nice and warm and pleasant and wonderful. I went for a long walk which I can roughly summarize as "Gramercy - Greenwich - Soho - walkingbackupbroadway." I took pics (parks and buildings), I saw things (breakdance!), I bought stuff (mini-MJ-Tshirt!), I spoke to cute people ("so where's your accent from?") and well ja, I love it and I miss it already even tho I am still here. *lol*

It's 10 past 10. I have been up 22hrs (I didn't sleep on the plane. the flight went really fast actually. I watched Hotel Rwanda. God what a harrowing film. I cried sooo much. Anyway.) and only had 4hrs sleep before that. But I am ok. I am not getting old after all. I will be fine. And apply for a green card and move to NYC. *cough* I bet all my "can't be arsed to visit you" friends would suddenly discover a renewed interest in me if I moved here. :|

Anyway change of subject. Yet again. On our way here we saw the most amazing huuuuuge cemetery somewhere in Queens (everything's bigger and better in America) so I looked it up and tho I've forgotten the name I wrote down how to get there, so we will go there. I think I might have to buy a 2nd memory card for my digicam.

LOL ah yeah I bought a 2nd battery for my Zen cuz I wanted it to last all the way through the flight and stuff, and then I ended up listening to the inflight entertainment the whole way through! :P It's really quite entertaining. The comedy (radio) channel was fun. It had Billy Connolly :x - and one very very funny Irish sounding guy but I kept missing the bit where they say his name. Will have to try again on the way back.

They'll have The House of Flying Daggers on the way back - why again did I bother to download that just a week ago? Ah well. Will watch again and perform some additional Zhang Ziyi drooling. Oh and Billy Elliot will be on too.

So much for the BA onflight entertainment for May 2005. Did I mention I love New.... oh I did? There are no words strong enough to express my love. I am aware I must be annoying. But I am so happy. I wanna savour it. I wanna take it all in. I wanna share it too. And I wanna write it down so I can read it later and try to re-experience it.

I will end this entry now. I will check some more sites, then I will walk around New York, fabulous New York, til I feel the need to sleep. At which point I will make my way back to our hotel and get the sleep I need.
Then tomorrow I will start over. :-)

PS I really love New York!!

People say...

Wam Wam Wam! I'm glad you're having fun. You're ignoring me on Yahoo but I don't mind.

House of Flying Daggers is awful. They showed us a clip from it because it showed excellent use of mise en scene (and it did) but I didn't enjoy it. I think he only showed us it so he could watch the sex scene with mild nekkidness. Dirty perve.

Love you WamWam. I hope you added to the back of Tayshirt

Do not move to New York! It's got like...wrong timezones and stuff!!

But ja, glad you're enjoying it.

I might die today or tomorrow, so if you don't hear from me again you're free to move to New York.

I'd visit you if you lived in NYC!

Cutest Tommy! When did you catch me on Yahoo? When I was on mbl? I only logged on for like 1min & no one was online. Probably didn't get your message.

LOL @ wrong timezones. I'm sure you'd cope. Is almost impossible to get a green card anyway so don't worry too much. You're not allowed to die tho!!
