When the day is long….

… hm recent rekindled R.E.M. craze. I meant to buy their new album, and still do, but I am sooooo unbelievably lazy so I’ve downloaded it for now – in the safe knowledge that I will buy it on Saturday when I’m going into town with T&K anyway. Who are coming tomorrow as you may be aware. How could you not.

Not sure why I’m updating actually, partly cuz Katja said “update!” but then she’s coming tomorrow anyway so why should I? Can just tell her stuff. She’s such a bully.

I would have various work-gossip-things to impart but I’ll skip those for now cuz I just get so darn worked up about it and then go on and on. I can tell you about scary kitchen-aftermath-episode tho… well quoting from Monconvo cuz I am lazy as you know. :))

I just had a phonecall from “Dave the electrician” (one of the B&Q ppl) to “talk about payment for the fuseboard”
me: “uh!?!? but it wasn’t moved!! I said I didn’t want it moved cuz it was too much hassle!”
him: “yeah but I was told to replace it” (which it was, there is now a bigger an uglier one) and me “well then that’s B&Q’s problem cuz I said I didn’t want it moved!” (I went on for a bit cuz was annoyed) him “I can understand you’re irate but I’m even more irate cuz I’m now out £300”!!!!!!!!! 😮
seriously tho wtf!? he thought I was gonna pay £300 to him for… NOT MOVING IT!?!??

Yeah it kinda freaked me out, I already saw a lawsuit coming or sth. But of course also felt bad for him (once we’d angrily hung up on each other lmao) but I’d told them not to do it plus, well, the point was moving it and did they not notice that they were not moving it, just replacing it?!!?! Yet still wanted payment?!

Anyway then he called back and said he’d spoken to B&Q and it was their fault for not letting him know I didn’t want it and was ok, they were gonna cover “most of his cost” – tho I still think it’s shitty of them not to cover all of it since they cocked up (and I may call them tomorrow to complain but you know how it goes), and we both apologized to each other for being rash and shouting at each other. *lol*

So that was that. Oh and I also finally did the dishes and various other flat-cleanup-activities, and also finally went to see Rita and she was all cute and thought the party was all very quiet and nice and she’d wondered at some point if we’d gone out.. until the gay drama of course, she heard every bit of that since that happened mainly in the bedroom (which is just above her bedroom). But she was very gracious about that too. 🙂 Now I just need to see what Viv has to say about the puke. *lol*

Oh aye and Air France have an offer to NYC and I could go in Sept for £348 and am veeery tempted (I still can’t get over missing the waterfalls) but I have REM concert on the 20th, could combine both maybe… LHR-JFK-CDG then TGV to LUX? That would also conveniently solve the issue of how long to stay in Lux cuz I’d be using up all my remaining hols on NYC. 😀 (tho I really need to sort the horse situation. screw the mother situation for now)

Ok I must go now. I had 10hrs sleep last night but that doesn’t mean I don’t need any tonight. 😛
