Paris post-attacks
I still haven’t written a travelogue for this! I can’t NOT write a travelogue! So here it is, short and sweet.
I went to Paris 3-6 December to hug a lamp post after the Paris attacks. I succeeded.
Thursday was very early (Easyjet!) flight. Then awesome mini studio flat with the best view evar (two), tho also water coming from the ceiling, but it wasn’t so bad. I mean, the view more than made up for it. Then I mostly cycled and walked around (sunny!) and bought a number of things I needed and didn’t need. In the evening I went to the Paris attacks sites (no attacks on République, but they had a makeshift memorial there).
Friday I went to Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle, then picked up mum from the station, we had lunch, took the lamp post photo, then she went off to see Chagall and I decided to forfeit that exhib (tho I had a ticket) and enjoy the sun some more. Then I met her and her friend at the Philharmonie, we had dinner at Le Balcon and went to see William Christie et les Arts Florissants. Beautiful.
Saturday we had Collection Hahnloser at Musée Marmottan, after which I… cycled and walked, bought some art, theeen had a drink with my friend Caro from Lux and dinner with everyone at our usual little Italian.
And then the next day I had to get up at an ungodly hour again, get a taxi (no RER!) and a plane and a train and returned to my Miaow, the End.
