OMG catssss!!!!
Doorbell rings… turns out to be a guy asking me if I’ve seen their b/w cat… me: “no but I’m top floor” - him “yes but so are we” - oooh!!! Tell guy I’ll let him know if I come across it.
Of course I didn’t even have my window open but now I have.
“Cooome kitty kitty kitty!!!” 
Buuut this means other people are doing what I have considered doing!
I CAN GET A CAT!!!

I am thinking about it. Monica did point out - quite rightly - that cats tend to puke from time to time. My beautiful carpets!!!! I also have nowhere for the cat toilet to go, which is a real concern. Anyway if I do get one (or 2) it won’t be until after the party so don’t start thinking of names just yet.

Well, just get a good carpet cleaner, not a big deal, but a cat toilet is small

A cat toilet isn’t really that small. Not small enough for my narrow kitchen or bathroom anyway.
