TOO MANY CELEBS ON TWITTER!!!!
It’s starting to get a bit weird… I wonder if this is “the future.” I mean it’s pretty cool/non-committal, the Web’s the ideal platform for celebrities / people of public interest to easily communicate with the plebs. Yet it never really caught on big style. So it’s odd all the people that seem to jump on the Twitter bandwagon.
Today I found out about:
Yoko Ono (doesn’t tweet much tho)
Jamie Oliver (as yet unconfirmed, but Jonathan Ross is on it *lmao*)
Boris Johnson (confirmed by tweetstaff & this isn’t a boring PR account like Number 10 (which interestingly has more followees than followers, indicating that people tend to unfollow after a while))
Demi Moore (who tweets as “mrskutcher” – I’m surprised that ID wasn’t already taken by some teeny Ashton fan *lol*)
Jamie Oliver is confirmed, he’d posted a link from his website (well, his web manager had!) before he’d posted his first tweet!
And I think Number 10 is brill, it answers questions and posts updates about what they’re doing, not just ‘official’ stuff like it could easily be. It’s recognised as a great example of how to do it worldwide. http://puffbox.com/2009/01/24/no10-downingstreet-twitter-top100/
Like OMGZ(!) I like founds like Paris on Twitterz and she’s like this CELEB who like… TWITTERTWEETz!!1OMGZZ!11!!! Like with her Blackberryses and iPhoneses at the SAME timeses omfgz!!!!!1 That’s HOT(z)!!! 😀
P.S. She rocks in the treetops all night long! TWEET TWEET!
=)) @ Jar. I meant “meaningful” celebs which is why I didn’t include Britney for instance. And while I don’t like the connotations of the word I couldn’t think of another one to use.
And I know you don’t much care for Twitter but for people with short attention span (& iPhone lol) it’s GREAT!! =P~
Aha @ Caspar. I followed Number 10 for a while & it was mainly “the PM is doing such-and-such today”. Maybe that has changed.
I can’t even see your Twitterfeed anymore. 😐
:)) ah yes. Tho of course you could still go to twitter.com/clarissawam :]
