“L in 10” meeeme!!!!

Posted on March 1st, 2007 @ 21:00 in Uncategorized

I asked for a letter from Wendz (entry here) and she kindly gave me “L”. Now I have to find 10 things about me that start with the letter L….

1. L… well, my surname starts with an L. My real one I mean. Not sure if that qualifies, since I won’t say it here, but it is the first thing that came to my mind. (Mon’s surname also starts with an L… but I could go on like this forever.)

2. Lo: Her real name does not start with an L. But her online one does, as does her favourite book, Lolita. And Lo is very lovely, which also starts with an L.

3. L.J.: also known as the BML, the slore, the crackwhore, and other unflattering terms. Actually I’m not sure if I’m allowed to just fill this with people… probably not.

4. Luxembourg: That tiny country between Germany, France and Belgium where I was born and lived until I was 19.

5. Lazy: Oh yes, that is very me. I am lazy and unambitious by nature. Currently trying to be the opposite, but who knows how long it will last. Laziness definitely governs my life to varying degrees.

6. LGBT: (wiki, since a lot of people don’t seem to know what it means.) I do consider myself asexual but I’ve had a weird affinity for gay guys for a while now. I have also many times been considered a lesbian, both by people who’d only just met me (random drunk person at Victoria “you’re a dyke, right?”) and those who know me fairly well (parents: “so are you gay? please tell us you’re gay and not completely dysfunctional” (=asexual)). Oh, and I like rainbows!

7. Leftist: I think I will always be that to a certain extent, tho age has mellowed me, as it does most people. There was a time in my teens where I proclaimed myself “communist and proud of it”… I wouldn’t do that anymore. But I’m still firmly left of the middle, and shall remain there. Oh, and another L-term is Liberal – I won’t give it a separate entry since they’re both political.

8. Loner: I do like my alone time. I’m not as extreme as some people, but extended periods with other people exhaust me, unless they are much like me and also like to keep to themselves. In social settings, or generally in “interaction” settings, I tend to space out at times (I notice this during our training, where I get on really well with everyone involved, and should be lapping up Rick’s every word, yet sometimes I just totally switch off for a while.)

9. Lara: as in, Lara Croft (and Angie, cf my header)… and also my beautiful Lara aka black Hyundai Coupé of extreme sexiness – I miss her still!! :((

10. Languages: I like languages. I like knowing them, tho learning them seems too much work these days (hey there’s another L word!). People still seem amazed by my language background… they find it fascinating that there is actually a Luxembourgish language (yes yes there is!), they are surprised that I have no accent when I speak English or German (yeah well I’ve spoken them for years… oh alright I just have a knack for languages ok!??). And if I wanna show off I can say I know 6 languages (which is rubbish of course cuz my Italian is abysmal, Luxembourgish is useless, and Latin… well, both abysmal and useless). Nevertheless… languages. *lol*

PS cuz it just came on my iTunes…
11. Lauryn Hill – oooh my Goddess!!! =P~ (sorry Mel… you too of course :* )

Whooo! You did that quickly….and very interesting too – that asexual thing has my mind all befuddled even though I did read the wiki link – just never heard of it before.

I love Angie too, btw.

Hehe, I guess we’re completely the same when it comes to #7. I’ve considered myself a communist when I was a teen, too. But I’ve mellowed a lot and would call myself liberal also, even sometimes conservative.

I’ve never considered myself a communist despite growing up in a communist country. LOL. I am a true liberal though and would never vote center or right because of a deep ideological alliance to the left.

This entry was very interesting btw and yes your language talent is amazing.
