All this goodness!

I am in a very good mood now. I’m off out in a minute, and usually my mood deteriorates then so I thought I’d quickly update now.

• It’s nice and sunny out.
• I got my new Lux credit card today and it’s pretty and colourful.
• I’ve cleaned this room so now it’s clean. (lol)
• I’ve had another job offer and am keeping my options open.
• I am listening to pretty music or alternatively to pretty ambient sounds.

So all in all, apparently, my life is quite good now. Shall I elaborate somewhat on some of it?

1. Council job Yeah so yesterday I got a call back from the Council saying I’d been successful for their job too… I was very surprised cuz I thought I’d done quite shit in the interview. I cancelled on them and then… today called them again and asked if it was possible to still join them and just not work for them for 6 months. (cuz basically this is like a replacement job where you’re filling in for people). She said it probably makes more sense to keep my application on hold – so in 6 months I wouldn’t have to go through the recruitment process again and they’d just have to get references (they’re recruiting fairly frequently for this). She’ll get back to me to confirm if this is possible. Woo! 😀
2. Pretty ambient sounds My new hard drive is kinda noisy at times, and because I’m too lazy to do sth about it I’ve decided to put up with it. The other day I came across a nice program to drown out the sound when I’m not listening to music (cuz I need to concentrate on sth etc). That’s the main reason I downloaded it at first but now I’m kinda addicted to it. And I got Mon to install it too and she likes it too! So I shall recommend it to the rest of you. It’s called Aire Freshener. It’s kinda old but it’s fab!! It has loads of sound environments – beach, rainforest, early morning, forest stream… I know, it sounds so cliché but it’s really quite addictive and calming and just… nice. So much so that I do at times prefer it to music! 🙂 And it means I don’t have to go down to the beach anymore to listen to the surf! :))

Ok. And I have some more stuff to share that isn’t part of the original list so I shall continue with some more pretty bullet points! 😀

• I need new speakers as mine are really kinda dying now. I have decided that shall be my “woo I have a job!” present to myself. That’s one of the reasons I am going out soon. As soon as I’ve finished this entry. So soon! Yes yes. Is really difficult to choose so I hope I’ll find sth, either online or off.
• I’m going to London next weekend to annoy my Lord. I am looking forward to it. I have also changed my-god.co.uk to point to her site rather than this squiZZ thing which seems rather outdated (if still amusing). *lol* Long term I have other plans for that domain tho… but they probably won’t ever happen. :))
• Our landlord is selling. This I am less delighted about. I guess it was inevitable (he emigrated to Australia a few months back) but it’s still meh. Dunno what’s gonna happen – I might like the new landlord / regime too… but I might find it’s a good time to move. We shall see. But especially now that I’m Amex-House-based again I’d really rather stay here.
• My left arm is hurting again. See, I’d kinda come to the conclusion that I really had RSI after all… and then realised today when doing the housework that it was better (even tho I hadn’t really rested my arms that much) and was all happy. But now the left arm again – why!? (see it started with the left arm, but it’s really mainly been the right arm ever since). Annoying. But oh well.

Ok I think I really am done for now so I’ll get dressed and leave. Meeting Jeff tonight. Tomorrow: hairdresser at some point, and my lovely Simon Amstell at 10pm. 🙂 And lounging about the rest of the day. Not for much longer, mind… :))
