Creativity II
Category: Randomness | 9 Comments | Posted 18:34Wheeeee!!! I've finished the bedside table. The other side doesn't feature Paris after all, but space (I couldn't have done it in a similar style without it looking crap), ... check it out. There are several imperfections but it will do.
While I was working out what to use I did some other stuff... this drawing of Notre Dame for instance which I'm almost pleased with (tho she's leaning to the left).
Also my own version of Magritte's Liberator (an idea I got because James Rizzi has done a funky version of Van Gogh's Starry Night). This is only a sketch cuz I'd considered using it for the table, but I kinda like it all the same.
What's wrong with me, actually being halfway satisfied with stuff I've created.
Nice!
Space thing is cute though blue on green looks a bit weird.
Oh I would be too lazy to draw Notre Dame, so congrats.

@ Liberator. Magritte rocks.
Check out the Human Condition.
Aha
"My painting is visible images which conceal nothing; they evoke mystery and, indeed, when one sees one of my pictures, one asks oneself this simple question 'What does that mean'? It does not mean anything, because mystery means nothing either, it is unknowable." (René Magritte )
Yes, it's very dry in Africa.
I know I could've used green around the north & south but I was too lazy
I always thought Margritte's paintings were so frustrating because I just didn't get them, lol but then I did an essay about him at school and I was relieved to find out that Margritte said the weird things in the paintings mean nothing. I was always looking for symbolic things and stuff, waste of time.
