Up up and away!!!

Today is good. It's raining and miserable but I don't care, I woke up and felt good and knew it was gonna be a good day. It could have shifted along the way but so far it hasn't, and that too is good.

So today I have:
- listened to my new REM album about 5 times
- cleaned the kitchen
- cleaned & tidied my room & thrown out loads of old stuff
- cleaned the lounge
- rung the Arabic guy (he wasn't in, but I rang!!)
- been to the recycling centre with tons of stuff

And because I am in a good mood I thought I'd share some random pictures of things... mainly my room. Just cuz is fun, and cuz I can.

On the left, my still colourful bookcase. On the right, the very cool green (!) boxes I bought in Norway, and the very cool box my present from Lo was wrapped in, which is also useful to put stuff in. And my singing flower.

I sleep here. In the middle, half-hidden, the cute bat from Ikea I got from Mon. Notice also the Lara pillow... first time I've had it in months (it's too warm for summer) - seeee, even winter has its good sides!

I like my clothes. Even tho they're not that colourful. But the cute bag I got from BML Me is! And look at the cool green (!) toothbrush holder I bought in Norway!

This is my Mikey. The PC. I've moved the shelves around. The ones on the left. Not sure if I like it, but it's a change. *g*

There's more! God I am so generous today! A few days ago conquest asked me for some classical music recommendations, so I uploaded some stuff for him... and since it's there and I'm nowhere near my bandwidth limit, I thought I'd share it with anyone else who's interested. This is not necessarily my fave stuff, the file sizes & conquest's preferences also played a role. They're here:

Some words of explanation maybe...
Mozart's Requiem is one of my favourite pieces ever ever ever. It's rather gloomy, being a death mass, but it's also very graceful - esp. the Kyrie. The Dies Irae is mainly dark and gloomy. *g*
Haendel's Sarabande is also very dark. It's the music of my dad's death - we played it at the funeral (along with some of the Requiem and "Death and the Maiden" by Schubert, lol) and listened to it loads that week. It still takes me right back to that time. Very beautiful tho.
Bach's Badinerie is very short and very light and airy. It's kinda fun and tends to lift your mood. Bach has done much better, but it's a small file. *g*
The Carl Orff track I mainly uploaded cuz conquest (like most MJ fans) knows and loves O Fortuna - this is another track from Carmina Burana (my fave apart from O Fortuna). It's partly quite powerful, and partly just very amusing.
