Inspiration
Of trains and travel

Or something or other. I should be in bed, but obviously I am not (well I could be, theoretically, since I have a laptop and also a bed. But I am not). So I will tell you about the following:

• Brian
• Mel
• Pink
• Kate
    and of course...
• trains

          .: BRIAN :.

I am addicted. And I have worked out that so far I have seen Placebo live 14 times. I will see them again on 9th Dec, which is actually 2 months and a few hours from now. I've looked into their November dates but that's not very realistic... but I am considering Leipzig on 16th Dec again... (tho it would  be insane and I should  be reasonable but... hm). That would make 16. That's a lot of Pure Bliss. (but not enough. Never enough!)
I had a message from my mum today "I was telling your uncle about that band you keep seeing in concert; I can't remember their name - call me!" :)) Ah Brian! =P~ Oh yeah and they're releasing Meds-the-single tomorrow, so I must go into town & buy it. Because they are divine!

          .: MEL :.

Also divine is Mel. I went to see P!nk with her last Wednesday as you may recall, and I of course stayed at her place. Mel was very cute and fun as always (I spent 2 nights there) and we had a lot of fun. Because she is divine. More precisely, she is God. Well, she suddenly discovered this on our way back from Wembley; and we did our best to irritate a whole tube carriage with our her antics. :)) She made a few disciples - the most devoted one being me of course. ^:)^

          .: P!NK :.

Who I went to see with Mel (see above etc). I have seen Pink previously. This was in the US (sniff) with my Charlie (sob) so altho this concert was booked first, it was clear it couldn't compete with DC & NYC (also cuz this was seating, i.e. far back). But it was very nice & interesting all the same, cuz quite different - lots more choreography, costume changes, special effects, and some seriously sexy acrobatics. *drool*
Pink is hot. And we're gonna see her again in Brighton on 26th Nov. I didn't even know she was performing in Brighton! But she is and so my God and my slore and I will go see her. :D

          .: KATE :.

That's what I did this  weekend. Visiting Kate in Southampton. I don't see her nearly often enough. I can count on the toenails of my nostrils how many times I've argued with Kate. Yes, not once. Considering we lived together for two years that seems almost impossible, but it's true. And truly darn amazing.
I had a great time with her this weekend. It's a bit of a shame she has a boring boyfriend. Well he's a nice guy, but we have absolutely nothing to say to each other.
But Kate's mum has invited me to go see her in Portland! She is very cool, so I am totally considering this. (her husband is in the UAE, her son is in the RAF & her two daughters are scattered across the country. I'm obviously some sort of substitute, but how cool is it to be considered a family substitute by someone!? :D :x)

          .: TRAINS :.

Trains suck, especially weekend engineering works. I had to change three times on my way back from Southampton (as opposed to the usual once).
Oh and one conductor did that "funny thing" I encountered a while back on Overheard in New York:
[pulling into Barnham]
"Everyone for Brighton please get off and change here."
[about half a dozen people get off]
"Haha, joking!!"
:| No no, it's not funny when you've already wasted an hour on half-deserted train platforms. *lol* [it was actually true in the end tho]

The end, for now.

People say...

It's nice to comment so early, except I have nothing to say.

I'm also early (though I think maybe 3.58 isn't really early, it's more... late), and I also don't have stuff to say, but I have a question: How on earth can you afford all these concerts when you say you're broke?

Posted by: Monica on Mon October 9, 2006 at 6:40

@ Lo.

3.58 is 5.58 in Latvia so... early.

About concerts (or general moneywasteness)... it's all about how you look at it. I'm not truly broke... I just shouldn't be spending all the money I have.

Youre not on MSN, so Im writing here instead. Thriller dance - yes? no?

My sim just did that while doing a silly little dance. It *IS* MJ, right? Im not mental?

@ not wokring copy&paste-thing

Posted by: Monica on Tue October 10, 2006 at 21:34

LMAO!!!! Um... yeah I guess it COULD be Thriller, but it could just be a coincidence tbh. It's really just that... arms in the air left-right thing, no? And some other moves that could be MJ but not necessarily Thriller. But then I'm not one of those fans that know all his dance routines by heart.

@ Mon. Yes it's annoying. But triple-clicking selects the whole comment and then you can... pick out what you need. In Notepad. Tho maybe I should do a new layout again...

Why on Earth does your comment say posted 21:34?! Is the time on the server screwed up?

Posted by: Clarissa on Tue October 10, 2006 at 21:53

Hm apparently it's 12hrs ahead. How annoying.
