Yes today I have been doing. And making even! I am amazed at my own... doingness.
Oh yeah first... yesterday I finally went food shopping. A real trip to Asda to get all those essentials that I haven't had for weeks cuz I was never here long enough to make it worth buying them. Stuff like eggs, milk, bread... it's soooo exciting! I had a proper breakfast this morning with tea and toast! And I have all this stuff to choose from! Not just "same old ravioli" cuz there's nothing else in the house and I'm too lazy to go to Somerfield! WOO!
Yeah so back to today... I've done laundry, been creative (can't divulge any more), posted my Charlie off to Casio for repair (almost a month after I broke her lol)... ah and I've finally split the 2004 entries into a separate blog, which should make this one much faster to work with/rebuild (you won't notice a difference, but I will *hehe*). It also means some old links will no longer work but what the heck. Might correct those as I come across them. If you go to the 2004 archives you'll notice a new(old) layout. I might change the one on here soonish too. I kinda want a Mozart one... what with it being Mozart year and all that. And since headless squiZZ is freaky... squiZZ with head is much better. Hmmmm.... *thinks of yummy suit photos*
I've just had a surprise visit from a slore (and not just any slore - my slore in fact!). She was her usual annoying and rude self but she suggested seeing Memoirs of a Geisha featuring the delectable Zhang Ziyi so we're off to the Odeon later.
Oh for those of you who want a college update and haven't had one on messengers yet... college is very much fun (most of the time). It's a lot more graphic design than I thought (basically 50% of the course), which is great of course. It also means it's not too intensive since half of each day is playing around in Adobe products.
The marketing/PR/advertising classes are mostly interesting too, all the tutors work in the industry so it's very useful and up to date. My only worry is that I may not be dedicated enough, like, to go that extra mile (haha) to be ahead of the pack. But I guess since I'm a doer now I can make that part of my plan. I will read 2 newspapers every day, even tho I don't want to. *lol*
The only big ughness is public transport, it's such an incredible nightmare you would not believe. Sometimes it takes me 17mins to get there, sometimes it takes me 40 - how the fuck are you supposed to rely on that!? I waited 20mins for a bus on my first day when they should come every 6 minutes!!! And the prices have gone up again so a day saver is £2.80 now!! So I'm still trying to come up with an alternative means of transport... perhaps a bike after all? But it's so cold and windy (and no doubt it will get stolen).
Um anyway. I have nothing else to say for now I don't think. Perhaps I will install Adobe CS on here now and do some playing around in Illustrator. That's if I can find the CD...
[edit] Nope, no CD. Hm maybe Ian just installed it for me but didn't make me a disk. Damn! [/edit]
LMAO it was so pointless reading all this since you just told me it about half an hour ago.
Anyway, cinema tickets booked! *waddles to fix hair*
Posted by: The BML on Sat January 14, 2006 at 18:07Well if you hadn't come to visit me unannounced I wouldn't have told you.
Woo @ cinema.
Posted by: Clarissa on Sat January 14, 2006 at 18:15I did a big food shopping today too in fact, IN FACT I've just got back... like you care, but hey. It's not blloody cheap I tell ya!
Oh! wanna see Memoirs of a Geisha so bad! But no one will go with me Have fun, guys!
Posted by: J on Sat January 14, 2006 at 18:24You got to show us the artsy stuff you're creating at your school, too. I'd like to see how you're improving over the weeks.
Posted by: Michelle on Sat January 14, 2006 at 21:50 I think it will take a while before we do anything worth showing.
But the project we're supposed to do is rather fun, so if I like the result I'll show it.
Am really pissed off I don't have Adobe CS tho, I was sure I had.
Tada, you can get it with BitTorrent.
Posted by: Michelle on Sun January 15, 2006 at 5:41You can?
Where?
(I suck at using BT )
Posted by: Clarissa on Sun January 15, 2006 at 14:53BitTorrent offers an internal search engine. Download it.
Posted by: Michelle on Sun January 15, 2006 at 20:50Illustrator was v. tricky as far as I remember. But very handy if you can get it to work.
Then again I didn't get that much time to mess around with it - sounds like you'll get a lot more time.
Aye @ bike. Well just steal someone else's then.
Posted by: Woods on Sun January 15, 2006 at 22:28Em.... wot?

Posted by: Woods on Sun January 15, 2006 at 22:38Yeah you just messed it up by posting a comment when I was still changing the layout

Posted by: Clarissa on Mon January 16, 2006 at 9:11I love this layout too! V pretty! About time we had sth cheerful and OMG is this your first ever non-obsession related layout?
Posted by: The BML on Mon January 16, 2006 at 12:58No it's not. I've had West Pier, random people, myself, a view of Trysil, a Welsh cemetery, colourful books, a collection of fruit... and that's only the ones I still have on my hard drive now.
So stop talking bollocks wench!
Thanks tho.
