1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
Keep down a job for a full year? Go to a Fugees concert, or two, or three. Visit Michelle! Go to Sweden (um, excluding quick visit for shopping purposes with the Norway ppl...).
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make NY's resolutions.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries/cities did you visit?
Paris (3x), Norway (2x), Luxembourg (2x), Mainz (2x, one yet to come), NYC, Stockholm, Leipzig.
6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
A nice job? Stability and the like. Wisdom?
7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Um... I dunno. Sorry. 
None probably. Maybe 12th Nov, when squiZZ came back to the UK. And like, there are events I will remember, but I don't know the actual dates...
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Maybe getting counselling and trying to sort myself out.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Failing to do just that. Hopefully it's just a short term setback.
Oh, and starting a really really really stupid habit.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Charlie the Casio cam. Until it broke. 
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Michelle's! I'm so proud of what she has achieved & where she's going. 
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
My own, my own, and my own. Sometimes my mum's too.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Travelling, gadgets, and alcohol.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
New York!! 
And Norway in September. And quitting job / starting course.
16. What song will always remind you of 2005?
Kissing You - Des'Ree. And a lot of the Wir Sind Helden albums.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you...
i. happier or sadder?
I can't remember what I was like in December last year. I know I had a really bad phase in Jan but that's not this time last year. Probably sadder.
ii. thinner or fatter?
A little bit fatter I think. Not sure tho cuz my scales are broken.
iii. richer or poorer?
Richer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Travelling.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Drinking. And that other thing.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Like any other day. Hate Xmas.
21. How will you be spending New Years?
With Katja and Tobias in Mainz, tho I think we haven't decided what exactly we are going to do.

I've been in and out of love lots. But in the traditional sense... no.

None.
24. What was your favourite TV program?
Don't watch TV. Family Guy, My Family, Blackadder, on DVD.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.
26. What was the best book you read?
Um. Maybe Viktor Klemperer's diaries, and Primo Levi's If This is a Man / The Truce. And Oscar et la Dame Rose by Eric Emmanuel Schmitt. The new Jasper Fforde was pretty cool too. I didn't read nearly as many books as I would have liked. (too lazy to link the books, look them up if you're interested)
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Wir Sind Helden.
28. What did you want and get?
Various gadgets. A squiZZvisit.
29. What did you want and not get?
Er.... I can't think of anything. Will this make me look like a spoiled brat? I considered getting a scooter but decided against it.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

I was 28 and... I didn't do anything really.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
A better job? Feeling better about myself. Being less of a failure. Being outrageously rich?

34. What kept you sane?
This has probably been one of my worst years, sanity-wise, so I guess I'd have to say nothing. But let's rephrase this to "what kept me from cracking up completely" - I'd have to say the job, because it meant I was forced to function most of the time. And my friends who put up with me and tried to help me and gave me some focus.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Angelina & Lauryn.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Katrina / New Orleans.

Monica. My dad. My horse.

When Sue told me she was proud of me... I think. Dunno tbh.
60. If you could go back in time to any moment of 2005 and change something, what would it be?
Saturday Sept 24th - saying what I said after I came back from the bathroom. And not saying sorry until it was too late. And just letting go, tho I'm not sure there was an alternative.
Also January. And everything since then.
61. What are your plans for 2006?
Studying. Getting good grades. Finding a job.
Sorting myself out / getting better.
Going to NYC again.
