It's 6.30pm. I am at work. I shouldn't be at work cuz I usually finish at 6. Today I should be at work even less cuz I was supposed to start at 7 then go to the dentist at 1/4 past 4. But when I woke up this morning I was very tired and couldn't be bothered so I decided to stay in bed until my usual time and then go "oh nooo, I totally forgot about dentist, can I make up for it next week??" some time after lunch.
But then when I got back after lunch I really didn't feel like being tortured by a dentist so I decided to call them and cancel the appointment instead. 
They told me they would have to charge me a whopping £30 cuz I didn't cancel 24hrs in advance, but before I could say "er hang on I might change my mind in that case" they'd already told me to call back on Monday and hung up. Fine then.
Fine until 20mins later when my (temporary) crown on a tooth came off!! This was the one that should've been replaced today had I not cancelled... so I grovellingly (can you say that?) called again and asked if I could uncancel my appointment and went to the dentist. 
And was tortured (and the crown put back on) and then came back to work and since I hadn't started at 7 I had to make up for lost time, which is why I am still here. By now it is 6.50 and soon I can go. But I have another half hour to make up next week.
Tonight at 3.15 I will catch a bus to Heathrow, and at 6.20 a plane to Paris. Paris, beloved Paris. 
I have been talking about nothing else all day. I will also tomorrow go to Live 8 to see Placebo for the 8th time (behind 20,000 French cunts, but still). And then I will spend Sunday walking around Paris, beloved Paris (it's supposed to be nice and warm) and return late, very late, to Heathrow, and even later to Brighton, and then go to bed. And that will be my weekend. I hope yours will be as exciting as mine.

Hm but that's quite common no? I had to pay about £30 when I forgot my appointemnt last year. (That ALMOST taught me a lesson, but just almost; I forgot again this year. Luckily I stumbled over the lovely postcard from dentist about an hour before appointment so actually made it after all this year. 
)
Um ja, and have a great trip! I will be gone when you return, so speak late next week or the week after. (Though I'm sure I'll bore you with Trysil updates before that time.)
Yeah so expensive apparently cuz it was a 40min appointment.
