Aw c'mon, Clarissa, one cynical chick to another, let me post just one more. I came back to read your ever-insightful blog and the blue mask fella's SECOND fat comment rankled me a bit, even if he is just taking up for you, his bud. The plain truth blue dude, is, not only am I not fat (5-8 1/2 and 122 pounds, even after having my daughter last August) not only do I have a lovely relationship with my mother, I had one with my father before he died in the line of duty as a fire fighter for the US Forestry Service, not only am I married to Ken Carlton, a former player for Indianapolis Colts football team (gee, does that make me a trophy wife? hmm...) I was honest to God, a quarter-finalist out of fifty-two contestants in my state's beauty pagent in 1990. (And down south where I grew up beauty contests are deadly-serious, too.) The girl who won that year was a semi-finalist in the Miss America pagent and a personal friend of mine from college. So me fat? Only in your dreams. Thanks, Clarissa. I'll stay scarce now. (And by the way I've always loved the photographs you have linked to your site. Your work? Very nice.) Have a nice day, y'all.
