Nothing’s gonna get me down

Google Insights is an interesting tool. It measures ’search intensity’ – the number of searches being made for a certain term. Continue reading…

Call me iShmael [iPhone 3GS review]

That’s what my new iPhone said to me, and that’s exactly what I did.

I bow to Twitter #IranElection

Yes that’s right, that’s a hashtag right there in my blog post title. I’ve actually been meaning to do an entry about what I like about Twitter for ages now, but now it’s gonna be completely different to my original point. Continue reading…

TOO MANY CELEBS ON TWITTER!!!!

It’s starting to get a bit weird… I wonder if this is “the future.” I mean it’s pretty cool/non-committal, the Web’s the ideal platform for celebrities / people of public interest to easily communicate with the plebs. Yet it never really caught on big style. So it’s odd all the people that seem to jump on the Twitter bandwagon.

Today I found out about:
Yoko Ono (doesn’t tweet much tho)
Jamie Oliver (as yet unconfirmed, but Jonathan Ross is on it *lmao*)
Boris Johnson (confirmed by tweetstaff & this isn’t a boring PR account like Number 10 (which interestingly has more followees than followers, indicating that people tend to unfollow after a while))
Demi Moore (who tweets as “mrskutcher” – I’m surprised that ID wasn’t already taken by some teeny Ashton fan *lol*)

Shitstorm in the Blogosphere

This is pretty funny just for being so damn ridiculous…

And most threads/blog posts with comments above are still going strong. :)) (except the murky coffee one cuz he won’t approve any the twit). As so many people have said all over said comments – “it’s only coffee” – but it’s very entertaining to see how people can get so passionate worked up about something so trivial.

(Incidentally I had coffee at the weekend cuz I had one of my caffeine headaches again and tho I still found it unpleasant, I didn’t think it quite so strongly repulsive as previously)

PS Oh and thanks to this I learnt what a ghetto latte is. :))
PPS From the later explanatory comment added by the coffeeshop dude:

Thanks for all the comments and emails (for the record, about 40% supportive, 20% critical, and about 40% ignorant and ridiculous… but that’s the nature of the sandbox that we blog in, no?).

*lmao* I’ll bet the “ignorant and ridiculous” comments weren’t supportive. :))

Elyse Sewell rocks!

I don’t think I have previously mentioned her on here, so let me do so now: her Livejournal is a really great read and you should give it a try.

(she’s a model currently working mainly in Asia – HK, China, Korea… she’s really smart and cool and adventurous and a little bit crazy and has a great writing style and comes up with fun stuff and… well just go and see for yourself. no really! [wiki])
