PROCRASTI-nation

Is the best nation! I am meant to be writing three texts for my job… the deadline is May 4th I think, but I’d really have liked to do them today. However, it looks like that isn’t going to happen. Instead, I shall write an update. About Placebo for instance.

This was a week of two concerts – one in Edinburgh where I went with J, and one last night in London, where I went on my own (Alisdair and Amanda couldn’t be arsed to queue, the lazy fucks), but made some friends in the queue. Edinburgh was amazing, we were 3rd row right in front of Brian and had mostly lovely and considerate neighbours (and also, I had a J, for she wasn’t too lazy to queue, even tho it was raining and she wasn’t too pleased). London was just about ok – altho I started queuing at least half an hour earlier than in Edinburgh, I was way further back of course, and also not straight in front of Brian (where a mass of people had already convened when I got in, so I decided to go for an oblique view). It was also more cramped, I had a loud singer-along in my right ear, and two fucking little cunts pushed in front of me, which I cannot stand and always results in me obsessing over the unfairness of it all and how much better a view I had before that and yada yada and thus not enjoying the show. Stupid, I know.

Also, Scots are definitely nicer than Londoners. No surprise there, I know. Anyway I’m thinking I should concentrate more on un-London-concerts. Which means I have to decide where to see them next, which is proving to be torturous. The options are as follows:

  • Rome Thursday 2nd August: good cuz I could stay with Claudia = cheaper. Bad cuz I’d have to stay with Claudia = awkward. Also, been before fairly recently.
  • Verona Friday 3rd August: I’m told it’s boring, concert venue is also somewhat outside of town. Good cuz I speak (some) Italian.
  • Bucharest Monday 6th August: kinda always wanted to visit. It’s also cheap. Bad cuz I don’t speak Romanian, tho it’s kinda similar to Italian.
  • Helsinki Friday 14th September: good cuz flights are pretty cheap and Finns generally speak English. Bad cuz not really interested, and up North. *lol*

I DON’T FUCKING KNOW!!! I kinda don’t wanna deal with it right now, but flights and hotels aren’t exactly getting cheaper. Anyway. I’ll delay until Wednesday. Right now I’m tending towards Bucharest (or Verona) and Helsinki… but that’s kinda insane, right? Especially considering I have no job. But Placebo concerts are my Happy Place! Hm, I’m thinking I should book Helsinki and decide about August later. Aaaargh!!! TORTURE!!!

I know, I know, do I have no other problems. Well, not really. I need to tidy my flat before Jana turns up on the 11th, I need to write those three articles… oh yeah and I have a number of computer/phone woes that I am dealing with by ignoring them. And my Spike has been knocked over / crashed into again so the clutch is bent down and the left indicator is basically just hangin on by the cables. Yeah ok, that is actually quite annoying, but I am also doing my best to ignore that because it MAKES ME SO ANGRY!!!

So there you go. My life is remarkably drama-free these days. Therapist has kinda been “do you really still need to come?” and I don’t… know. Still don’t really feel like I am anywhere close to where I originally set out to be, but also currently not really trying to get there. I do hope we’ll have a proper summer tho. I’ll give them May, they can rain all over that (except the four days I’m in Paris please), but after that I would like some proper sun, mid-to-end-twenties temperatures, and none of this fucking wind!

That is all, thanks for listening.

That’s quite a predicament you’ve got there! #FirstWorldProblems LOL!

Concerts are far better in Scotland than they are in London (FACT) and of course you had me to accompany you, hee hee! 😉 now that you’ve experienced this yourself, I do hope that you return for more shows (not just Placebo ones), but more importantly, to visit me! It was so much fun, must do it again! 😀 COMEBACK!!!!

I’m quite impressed with myself for not whinging my face off about the weather (it could have been worse, you know it! :p) , maybe I’m mellowing out in my old age :-\

I know @ first world problems. 😐

I will return to Edinburgh, tho not sure if it will be for concerts. We shall see. But if Placebo return, I’ll be there. 😀

:)) Yes so was I with the weather, tho once we were stuck in separate doorways, whinging to each other became quite complicated. 😛 Besides, our amazing ponchos kept us wonderfully dry. 😀

Of course Scots are nicer than Londoners. We get, like, one day’s sunshine a year: we know what gratitude is.

You forgot the dots in your name. 😐 Don’t you ever shout at me again when I omit them!

Lol I dropped them about two years ago. They no longer seemed important.

PS. We must badminton.
